David Moore: Managing Director
A business, like a family, does not hold together unless is has the common bonds of a belief system; in other words, a philosophy.
At the start of the Just Maintenance partnership with my wife, our philosophy was simple; find enough work each week to pay the mortgage, feed the kids and fill the tank. Funny how things haven’t changed much! However, we came to understand the meaning of having a business philosophy as we employed others to assist with the workload our business was generating.
Today, we employ managers and office staff, tradespeople, trade apprentices and skilled and unskilled labour. The staff of Just Maintenance Services Pty Ltd are happy with the work they are being asked to perform. The driving force behind this job satisfaction can be summed up in one word - Values.
As values are those thing to which we give priority to, it is obvious to me that the priorities of the organisation and the priorities of the individual overlap to create a cohesive environment to work in.
In the coming years I hope to articulate our shared values and seek a better understanding of my behaviour whilst managing this organization guided by our values.
